First off, thank you for your advice and ideas!
I've been thinking about it more and even though I eventually did find the replacement parts I was looking for (with your help), I've decided to just take the plunge. I'm getting a new tablet! 
Even with a new surface and pen nibs my baby is getting old. It has served me well, but after half a decade it's time for me to move on. So I'm using the money I would have spent to fix my current tablet and investing it in a new one instead. It is more expensive but hopefully it will be worth it in the long run. c:

<sub>I am at a bit of a loss here, so I thought I'd ask you guys if anyone knows of some place where I could get a new replacement overlay sheet for my tablet (the plastic sheet that covers the active area). I have a Wacom Intuos3 tablet in size A5 (6x8 inches), and since it is a rather old model today replacement parts seem harder to come by. I bought my tablet used, and by now it's surface has gotten pretty badly scratched up, and it's started to affect my drawing too much. 
To be honest, it's probably about time I gave up on it and invested in a new tablet all together, but I don't have a whole lot of money to spend. So, since my current tablet is still working well enough aside from needing a surface transplant, I thought I might see if I could find a way to fix mine for a decent cost, before deciding to buy a new one. 
I've searched a lot myself, but I haven't had any luck in finding the right replacement sheets available. It seems they are either out of stock or they're sold by a seller/shop who doesn't ship products to Sweden. 

It would be most appreciated if any of you here happened to know a place I've missed, or if you have any other helpful tablet tips to share.

I have been keeping busy lately with some exhibition stuff, and well, life. 
Things should calm down a bit after the weekend, and if everything goes well I'm thinking about maybe taking on some new commissions sometime next week.

I feel like I owe you guys an update, especially for friends that might have tried to reach me and been worried, and for commissioners waiting for their art. 

These past couple of weeks or so have been particularly rough, even traumatizing at some points, for myself and people close to me. All in all it is a long story, and a lot has happened that I'm not comfortable explaining here, nor do I really have the energy to even try at the moment. My main concern and focus right now lies with being there for my hubby (fiance), who is going in for surgery tomorrow morning to get his collar bone screwed back right after it was kicked out of place when he was assaulted by some drunken fucks last weekend. 

So, pretty much everything is on hold for the nearest future, we all have a lot of healing to do (I am unharmed myself, physically, in case any of you are worrying about that).
I apologize to those waiting for their commissions since I can't really tell when I will manage to get things back on track again (if anyone of you guys would prefer a refund, just note me and I will fix it, no hard feelings). 

And to my friends, I'm sorry that I have been and will continue to be more or less unavailable for now.. I have not forgotten about you, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your patience and support, especially right now.
